What’s developing in the JECELI April Seminar?
The April Seminar focuses on development across many dimensions. Usually, professional learning in early childhood concentrates primarily on aspects of child development. We will indeed focus on the very early years, and how attunement, self-regulation, and social-emotional phases of the school year (and Jewish year) affect the children in our programs. However, in our professional and personal lives, we have essential interactions with adults. In this seminar, we will also think about theories of adult development, stages of parenthood, and the exploration of Jewish identity. Finally, we will look at how participatory leadership groups form and support exciting school growth. We are even looking at what our ancient Sages said about some of these ideas. We will report back on what “develops” in our sessions!
