Costs & Commitments
For the JECELI Chicago Cohort 2 participants, there will be no costs other than local travel and books/materials. Institutions are responsible for finding substitutes while participants are in sessions with the group or with mentors, as applicable.
The commitment of each participant is crucial to the overall success of the program. Therefore, we require each candidate to attend each aspect of the program in its entirety, unless previously approved by the project director. Fellows must be able to set aside at least an hour each month for an in-depth discussion with his/her mentor, and to take the time to work on the Leadership Project. As mentioned above, institutions commit to allowing the participant to take the necessary time away from the early childhood program to attend all sessions and to meet with mentors on a regular basis.
