Day 2 of the JECELI Chicago January Seminar!
Our session continued today with our usual experiences, including morning tefillot and text study. The Pirkei Avot mishnah we learned together (4:5) brought out the connections between learning, teaching, internalizing, and doing. We spent the rest of the day involved in learning about teaching, and practicing how to act – to do – using the values that we have internalized. The main topics were facilitating embedded professional development, reflective supervision, and using protocols for collaboration. We ended the day with a celebration earned by the outstanding participation of the group in the last evaluation survey! Our surveys guide our work, and allow us to work together as co-constructers of the program.
